Connect JournoFinder to Claude or your own AI tool

Use the JournoFinder assistant from Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or another MCP-compatible AI client.

Written by Veronica Fletcher

The JournoFinder AI assistant is also available as an MCP connection, so you can drive it from your own AI tool instead of the in-app chat.

Who this is for

People who prefer to work inside Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor, or another AI client that supports MCP, and who want JournoFinder available as a tool alongside everything else they do there.

How to connect

  1. In your AI client, add a new remote or custom MCP connection.

  2. Use this server address: https://mcp.journofinder.com

  3. Your browser opens a JournoFinder sign-in and approval page. Sign in with your normal JournoFinder account and approve access. You will need a paid account.

  4. That is it. There is no API key to copy or paste. Your client stays connected and refreshes access quietly in the background.

What you can do once connected

Exactly what the in-app assistant does: take in your brief, search journalists and articles, build a live list, then refine, segment, and export it.

Your list still lives at its own link under app.journofinder.com/lists, the same as in-app.

Some clients show a shortcut command for building a list. If yours lists prompts, look for a build a media list prompt that pre-fills the questions worth answering up front.

What you need

Connecting from your own AI tool requires a paid JournoFinder plan.

Trial accounts can use the in-app assistant but cannot connect an external client. If you see a message that MCP access is not enabled on your account, that is a plan setting, and you can review options at app.journofinder.com/plans.
