Our database is constantly expanding, but you may sometimes encounter an outlet or journalist that we don't have in our system yet. Here's what you can do about it:
What to do when there are no results on an outlet or journalist search:
If you're searching for a specific journalist or outlet and no results are returned, follow these steps:
Perform a Google News search for the outlet / journalist: This action will hopefully surface articles from the outlet / journalist and trigger our systems to create a profile.
Access the new profile: Once the profile is created, you'll be able to view the outlet page or journalist page.
If this fails, reach out to us via live chat and we can create the profile for you.
What if the journalist's email is missing on the new profile?
If the auto-profile creation process couldn't find an email for the journalist you're interested in, you have two options:
Add to your media list: Include the journalist in your media list anyway. Our team will then look for the email during the regular media list checks we conduct.
Request a manual update: Visit the journalist's profile page and request a manual update. Our team will then research and add the missing information.
What if there are no journalists found for the outlet?
If on Google News searchs, we surface articles from the outlet but there are no journalists attached (unlikely but it can sometimes happen), here's what to do:
Request a manual review of the article: You can request a manual review of the specific article you're interested in. We will manually attach the journalist, creating a profile for them.
Request a manual review from the outlet's page: You can also request a manual review directly from the outlet's page, and we will investigate.
